Mr. Oz the Science Cat. I introduced him to add a little science fiction flair to my strip. The Cat Mellie can come to when things needed to be worked out.
He was based on my mom’s cat. We named him after the character on Buffy the Vampire Slayer (And not because of the Wizard of Oz like a lot of people thought)
(Side note: He had a sister that we named Willow. If you are a Buffy fan you would understand the reference)
