Toss A Coin To Your Witcher

I wasn’t sure what to make of The Witcher at first. Its a mix of Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones. But I have an admission.

I am not a big fan of Lord of the Rings, and have only a passing interest in Game of Thrones.

Not that they are particularly bad. I have watched both, I have seen the Lord Rings movies and the Game of Thrones series (well the first season anyway). Plus I read most of the novels of both. I like them but out of all of them the only one I LOVE is the Hobbit. The novel, not the over blown three movies that could have been one. Ok maybe two. But still It was overwritten. Game of Thrones doesn’t hold my interest for long periods of time. You get my point.

Ok. Getting back to the original intent of this post. The Witcher has the best of both worlds (without the Lord of the Rings use of names that sound alike) and its exciting. So exciting that even my wife loves it too ( and she hates Lord of the Rings)

The Action is great. The story of the Witcher is intriguing and the characters are likable. Warning there is a lot of nudity for those who not into that kind of stuff (Specially episode 4). The Character of the Bard was infuriating at first but he has kind of grown on me as the series goes on. My only problem with the series so far is my lack of knowledge of the timeline and how each characters stories line up. I needed Wikipedia to figure this out.

I am at episode 7 and will finish by the weekend. Looking forward to the conclusion and like the fact that Season 2 is only a couple of months away.
